I got myself a race-technology AC-22 Timing gear, so on my way home from the Corsasport Meet i had a few go's on a road near my house which is never used late at night (damp conditions and is uphill abit)
The web Site says its 2-3% out if anything so pritty accurate, but who cares it was fun having a play with this for the first time
(all without NOS)
Best was 5.86
Did a few of Low 6's
and did a 9.1 (wheel spin )
will have to get some practice in of my take off skills
there still abit pants
Have a look at the site, was loads of fun, wish i had got the more expensive on so it loged all the times and i could of uploaded them looking on the site now to see if i can get a upgrade for it
http://www.race-technology.com/
If anyone fancys a Trip over and whats a go on timing there car on this, your more them welcome

God knows
i was hoping for in the 6's to tell the truth, as i was expecting it to be about the same as a XE corsa but mine better top end
but in the 5's is good, really happy....
will keep trying everynow and again, pratice makes perfect.
only problem where i did it was with it being on a hill i have to hold the foot brake (hand brake dosent work) and then go strate to acc, no time to get the revs up, as soon as the car moves the timing gear starts

Beardy, get yourdself down to your nearest qrt mile straight with real timing gear.
I know your car will be quick, but still have troubles beleiving it will be that much quicker than an XE corsa.... please please please prove me wrong cos your car is a monster!

is the NOS fully set up on it? as in the direct injection to each cyclinder that you had planned?
i seen the feature in tv there last month.... didnt think there was enough reading about the car although far play for getting it in there

0-60 is never gonna be record breaking, but when it gets rolling and then u hoof it, it must disappear

5.86 IS a fcukin amazing time though!
for any corsa, especially a wide arched big wheeled monster corsa with a 6cyl block sitting up front! I would of bet money a 20XE corsa could do the 0-60 dash in the same time....
My mates M3 Evo only manages 5.7 0-60 and thats 321bhp and RWD

no doubt
5.86 is mad for a FWD corsa.
but 0-60 don't mean an awful lot, bet its fapping quick tho

no it aint the best measure of speeds, especially not for an engine designed with motorway grunt in mind!
BUT... its waay too quick! Uphill as well ?
timing gear is probably out

I'd have expected more considering it's the 'worlds fastest corsa'
isn't the record 4.36 or something?

and secondly paul, no turbo or nos!
beardy i find that time very very hard to beleive due to the weight and rolling resistance of the wheels!
When i get back to uni i will work it out, we do this for all sorts of cars!
Is that with the semi slicks on as well?
take it to a proper drag strip and proove me wrong please!

i find it a little optimistic, however the lack of a gearchange into 3rd to ge to 60 may help matters.. and no paul cant read quickest and fastest are two different things

brad, surely the size of the wheels wont be so much of a problem, more of a help than a problem, as they will reduce wheel spin=more acceleration? if adams bucket can do 0-60 in 6 flat why is 5.86 impossible? so many people have said its not possible, im willing to belive it till its proved incorrect

6 seconds dead in a fully stripped out car that was prob weighing 200kg less or more!
18's will have a higher rolling resistance and need hell of a lot more torque/power to get them moving!
I think high 6's is more likely but im only commentong if it does do it that fast then its going to be rapid 0-100 times!
