yes but as the speed of sound (in mph) decreases the higher up you go the term 0.148 mach really means nothing in this case

take it sea level though, cars can't really fly, well only a few ft at most. so it's 750 isn't??

surely the higher you go, the less air, therefore less friction (causes drag etc)...so the faster you should go

the air is thinner so air won't conduct sound as well so it travels slower, hence speed of sound becomes less.

yes thats why Jets can travel at mach 2 high up but bearly over mach one at low level
