Well as some of you know i was having big problems since i got the 1.8 SRi,
My Kahn RS-S Alloys were fouling on the inside of the rim on the 1.8 SRi calipers, even with a 5mm spacer,
My theory was to get a big brake kit. This would push the caliper away from the inside of the alloy (where it was rubbing) and into the open part of the alloy where there is loads of space,
One problem - No one made a big brake kit for the corsa c,
I contacted a few companies and Red Dot asked me down to their design and development office's in Watford, London...
They took a few measurements and the rest is history!!
This is what i have,
Brembo 4 Pot Front Calipers
320mm Red Dot Custom Curve Groove Rotors with Aluminum Bells
240mm Red Dot Custom Curve Groove Rear Discs
Red Dot Braided Hoses
Front And Rear Red Dot XE Fast Road Pads
Red Dot Performance Brake Fluid
Heres a few pics,
As you can see, The rear discs have not yet been fitted, this is getting done on dec 28th,
So after all that has it stopped the rubbing?
Yes. The caliper has loads more room around it, and the biggest bonus of all is the spacer has come off too!
This means the wheel is sitting back into the wheel arch like normal and does not cause the tyre to rub on the arches!!
Overall im extremly pleased with the kit, looks fantasic, solved the problem i personally had and fuck me do they stop!

The guys @ red dot estimate the kit will be around £1250 + VAT,
Thats for a 305mm kit,
the 305mm kit will be used on the 1.2 and 1.4 engines, and be made up of a single 1 piece disc,
the 320mm rotors + alu bells will be kept for the 1.8's

Yea marc
I would love brembo rears too,
however very few companys make a rear brake converstion kit,
You can often pick up brembo rear calipers on ebay,
Guess you could just ack together some brackets?
The standard corsa 1.8 brakes were fantasic anyhow, i couldnt fault them,
But my original braking distance really has been shattered with these discs + calipers

I will be keeping the standard 1.8 SRi setup to put back on when i sell the car (wont be for years)
Evisu,
North watford, near watford junction train station!
Rear discs will be swapped to match the front (same custom pattern) + rear calipers powdercoated to match the front,
Rear brembo calipers would look the nuts mind
