hey guys, need some help on this one.
coming along towards a t-junction on the main road last nite, was doin about thirty. there was a car waiting to turn right so it would have to have crossed my lane. i noticed it pulling out slightly to get a better view as there was a line of parked cars on the left but then it stopped leaving more than enough room for me to carry on. judging by the fact that there was traffic on the other side i assumed it would wait and carried on a bit slower at i reckon tops 20-25 mph. literally as i passed him he edged forward and hit me scraping the whole of the left side from half way down the door onwards, its only a paint job thank god but the geezer said i was at fault cos he had pulled out. but then surely if he woulda pulled out like he said he had done it wouldave been a head on collision. jus wondering whether its worth reportin to the police and claimin and stuff, i got all his details...but as its only paint?
opinions? (sorry for the essay!!)

He pulled out on you? Surely that means its his fault. If it was your right of way, then claim. Im sure he'll be trying to claim on urs anyways cos surely it damaged his car?

Excatly, and if he claims straight away and you don't then you may not be able to claim at all and the blame will be passed to you. Don't forget you have to claim within 24hrs of an accident.
