got an xbox off my lass for crimbo ... what things can be done to them...
like eg. sticking in a HDD and programs so i can watch divx and dvd straight from HDD and play games from HDD?
Has any one got any "how to" webpages?links?/pics. to do this?
Anyone use XBox Live? or is there anything else connection? i can play online with?

u cant go online with a bigger H/D in your xbox , even if the chip is turned off
xbox live will ban u use it with your chip switched on , or with a different H/D

btw its "crystal" one too so after i get HDD and sutff on it its going in my car to hook upto my screen muight get some blue led's behind it to shine through the clear plastic

if you have a modded HDD they can disable your contold pannel, making your xbox useless. i say CAN

I got an X Box too along with Halo 2
My lil brother got it for me, but Halo 2 turned up before the Console did, which is pretty useless.

If you want to get online with the Xbox ie Xbox Live, then don't modify it.
If you'd rather just have cheap/free games, then speak to http://www.chipit.co.uk
You could do the work yourself, ie fit a bigger HD, a better CD/DVD drive and fit a modchip, but then you'll have to sort out a clean image for the HD, install your own dashboard, etc.
Lots of messing about, lots to go wrong.

just get a modchip with an external on/off switch, no need for a bigger H/D , as long as ur xbox is networked to your pc u can stream videos / mp3s straight from your computer
