What is the best software to copy an orginal DVD, just the one I'm using keeps coming up 'copright protected' etc. But all my mates can copy them no bother at all.

Any help would be appreciated

Nero won't let you copy a protected DVD.
Try DVD Shrink, you'll need to make the 9gb fit onto 4.8gb anyway unless you have Dual Layer media.

copying is illegal, however, if you need to backup the dvd then:
Download DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, run the DVD through Decrypter, then through Shrink which gives you the option to burn it to an ISO, then burn the ISO using Alcohol 120%.

Done!

thats one seriously cock-arse way to do it

install Nero + DVDShrink 3.2

just use DVD Shrink & select it to burn via Nero (in the Burning devices option)

much easier!

Google, it's free.
Why would you run it through DVD Decruypter when DVD Shrink removes everything itself anyway.

they are classed as 4.7s,,,,,i feel you must state your case against the dvd companys...good luck

hmmm how many films have you ripped?? go get some big films eg ones that are about 8-9 gigs before compression,,,use shrink,,rip out menus, languages and then tell me what compression ratio you are geting,,,,now put the dvd you ripped onto a 42inch plasma or equivellent and tell me what you think of the quality compared to the original i awate your results with joy and glee,,,,

like i said shrink is crap with any decent size film,,,with smaller ones its fine
