right ill have about £500ish to spend on engine mods, iv already got a PVD bfo cone, and a straight thru exhaust system.

its a v-reg 1.4 16v sport...

what can i do to make it accelerate better ??

deffo the powerbox will get you about 15bhp

new inlet manifold.
mantzel
Velos torque tube
Lexmaul

4 branch manifold
mapperble chip

and then you'll be on ya way.

500 quid for inlet (15bhp)

150-300 for 4 branch manifold (mild - stainless) (4bhp)

400ish for chip and live mapping (5 bhp)

all quite conservative estimates of power gain... driveability after mapping far superior also

thats opel version though, and it replaces existing upper manifold to increase performance

why not try the dbilas inlet from regal. i nearly bought this before i got my mantzel. well worth getting one. makes a instant HUGE difference to performance.

if u havnt got one already get a decent exhaust and replacement filter/induction kit.

a mantzel is just a plenum chamber with the throtal body just after the filter. it gets rid of all the pipe wotk and weired shaped intake manifold.

i wonder if a plenum chamber off another car bould be machined to fit? like off an MR2 or somthing?

The obvious solution would be the 8v inlet but i think its been tried and failed.

The problem is its pretty tight back there
