Do not buy a house near a river that potentialy could flood

did no one at school get told that jew boy jesus story about the guy that built the house next to the river

makes me laugh cus people are suprised buy it but each year we have floods and people forget this.





p.s do not also buy a house in phucket

also like in the story dont build your house on the sand with no foundations (dont know if you ever heard this one in RE) take your time and get them deep with concrete

Its quite hard to buy a house on flood plains nowadays anyway as no insurance companys cover them and the eastae and morgage companys know this.

Yeah theres a local beach resort to me (Weston Super Mare) and they built 3 housing estates on the Weston flood plains, nice cheap houses yes but would you buy a house on a flood plain at a beach resort

funnily enough the houses sold straight away , there hasnt been a flood yeat but all in good time

then they will turn around and say " the floods came as a supprise "

Always the same in shrewsbury, massive houses next to the river dirt cheap but then they flood for a couple of weeks a year.

Its pissing down with rain and because the council dont open the lock then it overfills ... coming down our driveway and all through our land.

can't, its a public walkway, the arm of the gate is locked up so people cant open it themselves for some reason.

I would if i could

The council are useless round here, so it doesnt really surprise me

me too. you could dingy the south ill cover the midlands. just need someone for the north where it floods more so maybe two people

me and my pals went canoeing last time my area flooded

I live at the top of a hill so im fine, the unfortunate feckers down the bottom got washed out though

not only that but in shrewsbury the council have built their head office on frankwell carpark......people who know shrewsbur ywill know that if you leave your car tehere and it rains you car will be gone due to floods!!! how daft can you get
