a few weeks ago two coppers on foot tried pulling mke over but i drove past them without stopping (stupid i know). i got a letter a week ago asking for an explanation as to why i didnt stop. last nite i got pulled over by the same copper and he explained that hes taking it to court. he will be there with his colleague in their bright yellow jackets on and iv got to convince the court that i didnt see them.

seen as there wer no cop car, signs or blue lights they had no proof of being policeman, if i tell the court that i was unsure who they were and that they may had been anybody trying to steal my car would i get away with it. and considering it was late at night and i was on my own and also i could explain my recent history of threats.

what u reckon?

if they give me 3 points for this theyl try banning me again. i re took my test in may but they didnt clear my 6points off, so im guessing iv still got another 18month to go to be allowed 12points. my argument is that if i took my test again surely i should have a clean license. its been over 2 years now since i first past my test/

sorry for the essay

About 2 months ago it was about 9 at night so it was dark, I pulled out of a junction onto a road and put my foot down and my car started to wheelspin Next minute a policeman jumped out in front of my car waving his arms and shining his torch at my face. I didnt know WTF was going on so carried on past then realised it was a policeman. I didnt stop and my number plate light was out so he prob didnt get my reg. Never heard anything about but was expecting a phone call or letter for the next week or so after it happened.

Id go with the not knowing it was a policeman story if I was you. Did they have any reason to stop you e.g. were you driving too quick or something?

i dont think they can pull you over unless in a car??

just tell them u didnt realise it was the police and the recent spite of car jackings you was worried of loosing your pride and joy car.

You will easily get away with this, if not i will personally rape them!!

Go on about how your car is your pride and joy and as other people have said that you thought that it was someone trying to carjack you

if they where on foot then you where right not to stop. Its the same as an unmarked cop car cannot stop you..or so i heard anyway.I dont get that though, cos v70s are unmarked...except for the flashes behind the grill.

Imo, they dont have a case

thats ridiculous!!
You never get taught in driving test to pull over if a policeman on foot stops you!

just ask them if they would stop late at night for someone in a yellow jacket if they had a hot htach or valuable car!
I think you will find they will jsut warn you

Not related to this story, but a cop van stopped me in town centre 2 days afder i passed my test for going up a bus route which was poorly marked. The coppers let me off with the one way thing, but insisted i had to have l plates on my car for 2 years! He basicly went through his little handbook looking for things he could do me on as he was new i think

They did actually consider making new drivers have the green P plates on for 2 years after passing.
Stupid idea.
