At the min i work for volvo truck and bus, as an apprentice..

my college stops in april after my last block, and ill have an advanced modern apprenticship

the college then offers volvo students the oppertunity to carry this on to a HNC qualification...but my work are unwilling 2 pay me, and release me from work if i was to pay for it my self...

i have found that my local college can do the same qualification at
£1000 for the lot...now could i get a student loan for this??

work are more likely to let me go on day release rather than block release.

What could having this qualification unlock for me in the future??

its a very high one and would make me the most qualified at my work.

So could i get a student loan??

yeh... it sounds like a good plan... and its not like £1000 is loads to be borrowing and its borrowing for a good cause...

Yes dont let them stand in your way of furthering your career.

Many collages allow you to pay in installments - I pay £70 a month.
