I have a X16XE in my sri and was thinking of buying a mantzel powerbox or sumthing similar. are they as good as they seem, as i have heard that they work better if you get the ecu chipped, and that the power doesnt really come in til about 5000rpm.
cheers for any info

I have the mantzel on my C16xe, is fantastic, got it fitted at the same time as unichip+mapping, feel good power gain throughout rev range but especially high up it pulls all the way to limit...
p.s. mantzel aint making these anymore, only stock that was left i believe is being sold off at the moment.

Yeah first thing you will notice is the low donw tourqe, BUT it might feel a little flat between 3000 and 4500rpm but as soon as the revs get up it sings all the way past the limiter, ya want 7500limit ideally with SBD idler pulleys and ARP rod bolts

loads cos ya missin out on about 10bhp which will be past ya standard limit, plus you will be fooking quick off the line 64 in second with a 7500rpm limit, makes a huge difference on ya 0-60 not changing gear twice

absolute poo! if you have the car on orignal management with no map, ill give you 40pounds if yo ucan tel lthe difference on the road between a lexmaul car and a manzel car, then get them mapped and the manzel may have a tiny tiny advantage to 60ish as you will want a raised limiter letting you hit 60 in second, with the lexmaul you dont need a raised limit so ull be hitting 60 in 3rdstill... iv toyed with two cars with manzels, one had a hell of a lot more done to it, and there was sod all difference on the road!
