Car is no workin
been fine all day, then all of a sudden it just keeps cutting out, wont stay on without the throttle being on!
I dont know much about engines ive had a look its got an oil leak which i ddoubt is the cause of the problem coming from the "breather tube" (on goes into the rocker cover near the dizzy) But theres oil in there!
Just fires up then cuts out 10-15seconds later

just tighten the jubilee clips on the rubber hose part. I think your problems are related to the turbo noise you were on about before...

Thats what lee said anyways, its not mega loud, only really heard when throttle is open then u come off (like changing gear etc)
I feel my teeenie exhaust may be the scource.

jambo, does it have the standard diverter valve on it? The fluttering noise could be made by a faulty diverter valve, unless of course you had a dump valve fitted.

but its the engines fault, not lees
i think it comes down to the fact that ppl are fitting 10-15 year old engines in cars and expected them to run fine without any real work
jambos got some probs with his
daimo and donna have be fine, the only fault there was daimos
corbs was fine iirrc
fads broke becasue it was my fault
gregs was ok, just replaced AFM and bits as you would expect
Arnies was ok, had a loom fault but not anyones prob, then he crashed it
adam B, well will leave that one
Darren broke his LET himself, his 1.6 was fine i belive
both mine have been fine
etc etc etc

bound to have teething problems, its an older engine that most probably hasnt been run in a while.
Theres lots of things to go wrong on an engine, and its just teething problems! Theres no doubt in my mind that lee hasnt dont n e thing wrong!
Apparently maybe i have a hole on the inlet pipe or my air flow meter is faulty?
