speakin 2 a mate this morning, who knows shit about vauxhall..

he says his mate has, a c20xe in a corsa with.... a k and n air filter, full zaust system and a superchip...

he says its running a proven 181bhp

i said he is talking shit...

he then went on 2 say how its using a 1.4 gearbox so that he could still use his standard shafts and hubs....

please tell me i am correct and he is a grade a saddle jockey of the highest quality.

if he is still using standard shafts and hubs and gearbox i would be expecting them pop out anytime soon i got told i would have to get stronger shafts and huibs and the 1.4 gearbox i would have thought couldnt handle the torque

the 1.4 box is for small block engines, so wont fit the C20XE

so yeah he's talkin shite!

u can get a 1.4 box to fit so he could be using standard hubs and shafts so may not be talking bollox

yea after a while but it can be done. he could have all the internals changed inside. sbd run 1.6's with 250 bhp. they are probably on f15 boxes

it aint been modified at all, like i say, all thats been done is filter zaust and superchip....not gonna hit 181 is it :S

F15 is the amount of tourqe it can handle ie 150lb so the SBD 250bhp engine running the F15 gearbox wont be pushing scarey tourqe, dont know the exact figure but it wont be far off 150

Lee is right, yuo can fit smaller boxes to the XE. My mate did it, lasted about a week then it split in half LOL

using standard hubs and shafts along with a 1.4 gearbox is a bit like signing your Death Certificate

He's talking bollox anyone with half a brain would use a F20 gearbox and proper Conversion kit
