How much would people seriously expect to pay for a corsa b badboy bonnet? It'll be a supplied new bonnet, welded, fibreglass matted and fillered, finished in primer.

Just looking into it as an idea, if it goes well then we'll look into tailgates and matbe doors.
Cheers
Rich

imo spending 200 squid on a bonnet is rough like considerin its just 2 bits eh metal welded on.it seems that every tuner bit is overpriced.lambo doors set u back nearly a grand for what, 2 rod things, and i was quoted 600 quid to fix the joints on my bodykit.fucking hell its only a few screws and some bonding material.il give u 50 thats what i see as a FAIR price

just because you get payed £2.50 ph for being a first class cock jockey doesn't mean that skilled metal fabricators should be payed shite wages too.
do you realise how fucking long it takes to professionally weld ANYTHING without bodging it?! if you came to me asking for bodywork done cheap id laugh at you and tell you to FUCK off

lol.i never said lambo doors cost 2k i said nearly a grand in my post.what someone was saying about the wages and overheads well thats what takes up most of your fucking money by the looks of it.i read this other post earlier today about this guy who had his bonnet bad boy'd.he bought the metal for £8 and paid a local welder 30 quid to weld it on for him.its not been painted yet so i cant comment on his final cost of it all.all im saying is that the materials are cheap its the the fuckin other costs that rape you.its a bloody joke.oh and mate im a student,i dont get paid £2.50 an hour and i never will especially once i get an excellent job at the end of all the hard fucking work i put into my degree so dont even bother calling me a slacker

If a local welder chooses to do a cash job then nice one, cheap bonnet. I honestly can't see there being any sort of comeback at that price, plus it still needs finishing and painting.

Most garages need to take £30ph to cover their overheads, and its a few hours work. You can't have a workshop, staff, all the bills and run a business taking £30 cash.

Thats what it costs, whether you can get it cheaper is not the issue, of course you can, you can buy mail order parts for very little money which is why there are always complaints about service on here.

Any decent job won't be cheap. It can't be.
