which mp3s are better than ipods for the price?
ive got a digital camera so i dont care about storing photos plus as far as i know the new generation ipods have a better battery life
Is the main issue the fact that they were so dominant in the market or are there any genuine complaints?

i just bought a mini iPod. it seems pretty good but im hardly ever gonna use it really.

Ipod ok, i have a 20 GB one, lots of space, awsome sound quality but cannot coppy songs off the ipod which is annoying

I just been shoppin for one and bort a Zen Micro 5Gig in the end. EXCELENT bit of kit, like it much better than the ipod!

New creative nex mini is better imo.(smaller, better battery life, better output) And i have both.

The new sony MP3 players are fantastic and come in 4 colours abit like the ipod

I have a 5gb Carbon Rio very small, smaller than mini ipod, bigger memory and cheaper.
The software is good as well if you wanted to use it.
T3 rated it better than ipod mini recently.

Sony 20gb mp3 is good, supposedly if you drop it it has a sensor that moves the needle away from the hard drive to help prevent damage!

ipods bounce well .. i dropped my 20gb one outside and it was all ok

yeah u just have to be careful with ones with hard drives compared to solid state media

I think I-pod are as good as any
the I-river looks quite good also but I don't get why people would want a radio on an MP3 player 
Had a look at the Sony 20gb one today which was £250 & that looked quite nice

I have a mini ipod, and i have had no problems with it thus far, The navigation is brilliant once you get the hang of it!

We have the new bang and oufsen one in at the moment to test.
Its a great bit of kit though very expensive.
