As some may remember had my exhaust done couple of weeks ago in st. albans, top gear.
Had it done asked the guy not to make it too loud, when we drove out it sounded ace, not too loud but i think that was cos i wasnt used to it. Its perfect on the mway unless u come off the throttle 
But around town its fucking ridiculas its sooooooo loud. So got suitibly annoyed and went down today to ask em to put some silencers in or something ( i know nothing about exhausts)
Turns out only way to make it quieter is to change bore and make a complete new system 
So thats my £300 down the drain. Got an exhaust that is chavish and too loud and no way of making it quieter. I hate it and now i have to live with it

you can add a silencer with more wadding to kill some noise

and try securing the bolts/brackets to stop rattling mate that mite help kill a bit of noise as well.

No ratling its just fucking loud.
This is so gay, i needed an exhaust and i really dont understand alot about them i feel i have been the subject of my own ignorrence.

does it have a mid silencer and cat just now as well as a back box?
if so you'd struggle 
but if you dont have the silencer, by all means will can be cut n shutted in

It has a cat, but to my knolledge thats the only thing in the middle.
So a cut and shut sounds good.

told you to buy a corsa systerm and not a custom one 
if theres nothing in the middle by all measn you can get a silancer

when i was a lad...ok im 20 now, but when i had my corsa, i went to powerflow and had my meddle silencer taken out as my backbox was quiet (big sebby one) then it was fucking loud. maybe you need one of these

i would suggust selling you system and buying a blueflame/scopion/whatever and get powerflow to make you a picece between the downpipe and system

Cut your losses as another Powerflow customer and get an off the shelf system.

i was unaware that anywhere made an off the shelf system for a corsa with a calibra engine.
I saw one on regal, but it was ridiculas money and ugly.

System is a Corsa item. It's just how the downpipe mates the manifold to the system you need to worry about.

i told you this last time, the system is identical, all thats diffrent is the cat/decat part, as a standard corsa cat/decat wont match up to the downpipe apart from the LET, where you would need powerflow to make you a cat/decat section, apart from that any corsa system will fit

it sounds like they haven't included a mid silencer, so just get one and cut and put it in.
i dunno, can an exhuast be stupidly even if it has the mid silencer on?

Jambo - the only problem is - putting in a silencer will reduce performance.
This was what I was saying to you the other day at guildford about my 106 gti. I like the way my car sounds at the moment, not too loud. But to get most performance I have to put a straight through system on it with decat - thats gonna be loud as fuck!
