if i was to put a x16xe or a c16xe bottom end on my x14xe head, would i need the ECU for the x16xe/c16xe cos if i used to x14xe one it wouldnt giv it the right amount of fuel and stuff correct?

yes, you defo need the right ECU

you got a ported and polished head then? cos if not, its easier to just swap for a 1.6 (x16 is better as the lexmaul will fit)
and all ecu and loom are same, so its just a straight swap

just put an x16 in it, thats what broster did, and with his x14xe head, with cams and polishing, a 4 branch manifold and unichip he got 138 bhp
