neon = chav
led = slightly more up2date chav
cold cathode = no idea

cold cathods are a samller thinner tube which are cheaper than nons and also alot brighter mate, wud prefer them to neons anyday

i think cold cathodes run n a lower voltage, mines has a seperate wee box that you plug the positive into then a switch off the negative into it and you just plug two cathode tubes into it

pics rather crap but theyre better than neons

Cold Cathodes are cheap and cheerful and do a very nice job in any install, they do break fairly easy. Look at www.ebuyer.com for them or on Ebay

Cold Cathode run very high out put... but are very fragile... hence why neon is used more on car installs.

I got some neons/cold cathods from ebay, for 5er or something silly like that, One set i broek, and other set are in footwells. They look really good, pics soon, but for couple of quid, so what if they break
