was wondering why the oil light on the dash wouldnt come on ever...

had a look and the wires going to the oil switch seem to have run away

i have the plug in me hand here wires must be hiding up dehind the bulkhead somewhere...

engine is coming out next saturday so i find em then...

IT should be together with the car loom that comes down for the starter motor and ground.
It's fairly useless as it's only about 3-5psi. which is pretty much pointless. a 20PSi switch is much better to have in, that was if it comes on which the engine is under load you know to stop the engine before major damage happens.
Or even better has a 20PSi and a 40PSi, if the 40 fail at high revs then time ot turn off the engine

do the higher presure ones just screw in? would be a good idea to let ya know well in advance of something going wrong....

Or have a look on Oddball's guide on MIG to how tof fit an aftermarket pressure gauge... Much better.

you get a new sender unit which replaces the switch in there if you use electronic or a t piece and adaptor if you go mechanical,a tube for mechanical and a wire for electronic

Or you could get one off a nova GSi or astra GTE as they have a pressure sensor so you cna just rig up a gauge to it to ell you the pressure.
