Any one done this before? Tried searching this forum but cant find any threads?

I'm 18 on a tight student budget so a red top is out of the question. Thought this conversion would be a cheaper compromise.

Any help would be great thanx guys.

very easy to do. but the loom would bea bugger that's all.
Just pull out current 1.2 ands leave the gb on placea nd drop the 1.4engine in place.
then put a MPi fuel pump in the tank and off you go.

not much bang for buck though is there? you'd wanna be installing at least a 1.6 engine to make it worth the hassle of a conversion....

the increase would be bloody noticeable though just get a corsa SRi engine, looms a direct fit then

Thought there was a fair bit of tuning capability with them? 100+bhp?

could i use carbs? or isit better to keep the same fuelling system?

work well on twin 40's and pretty hard to break em too

So a Corsa SRi lump with all the ancilleries would be a better choice than a nova lump?
