Couldnt belive my eyes when i was looking through autotrader two days ago on the interent to find my old corsa GSI for sale (L316 WWP). Doesnt sound very Unbalievable untill i enquired about it. Sent a text to the owner (M.U.B MOTORSPORT??) regarding millege, previous owners, mods ectect and had no reply. Looked on autotrader today and was gobsmacked the corsa had sold (asking price was £1650) untill i flicked throught the pages and right at the start of the listings the cheapest gsi available there was my old corsa again asking price £995!!!! beying sold by SIMY MOTORS!!! I cant understand how the corsa has lost so much value in so little time and changed trade owners so quickly. But that isnt my biggest worry the following are
1) Sold the corsa around 20/12/03 with roughly 110000 miles on it, and its claimed by the seller that its only done 102150???? clocked or what
2) I was the fifth owner i think when i had it now its only had 2???
3) The alloys have changed from 16s to different 15s in two days
So sad to see my old GSI being passed from owner to owner and having had its history abused so much. I sold the corsa for 1600 i think to three lads from south wales that didnt even care about having a test drive (what does that say) so really it wasnt the best start for the car. The millemiligia action alloys i had on it have gone but its funny to see that its missing the side skirt as i told the new owners of it that some of the clips had broken and needed to be replaced!! Goes to show that cars are never what you think they are!! (P.S. would a hpi check on this car show its real millege and previous owners???) To think towards the end of owning the corsa gsi i absoluetly hated her for some reason, maybe because she was slow or didnt have the street cred i dont know, if only i knew then what i know now thats the gsi is one of the best cars ive owned and probably the nicest looking!!
Have a look at her on auto trader carribic blue £995 the first gsi that comes up

Maybe they bought it - sold the rest of the kit (skirts) - and sold the wheels, now selling it on?

I'd guess he just did a hpi check on the RAC. Though how quick they update I don't know? i.e. if it changed hands very recently it might not be recorded.

This info Diddon gave was from the RAC website.........you can get basic information on vehicles from there by putting in the registration.
You need to register on the RAC site (it's free) before you can look up vehciles though

I just looked up my old car that was written off and it told me that the last owner change was in february 2004
It wasnt written off until june 04 and i bought it in september

yeh that RAC thing is a bit toss... I had my 106 gti properly checked and it has had like 3 owners I think - yet that RAC thing says 2
