1977 Ford Capri 3.0 S, running on 4 and a half cylinders (one misses all the time, other is intermittant)
still rocked though, tail out in the snow

well yeah, but i didnt have that option, it was a choice of my car, a citroen berlingo, the capri or a yellow reliant rialto van (a la trotter)
so the capri it was, as i figured it'd be the most fun in the snow round a quiet industrial estate

Enjoy 17 mpg. Also enjoy tail out in snow, wet, mud, dry, pretty much all the time.

yeah, 17mpg if it was running right, a tenner of petrol was used in 3 days of cold starts and short journeys (like a mile a time)
its a piece of shit, but it is still old skool cool

The one to have is the Tickford Turbo
Sadly VERY rare!
2.8 injection special / brooklands were also good.
2.8 cologne engine was alot better than the 3.0 essex in many respects.
