I was going to sell my car but I'd be bored without it. I don't use it much so have time to get it off the road for a conversion. I know its relative but how hard is a 1.6XE into a corsa b SRi 8v conversion?
If i get the loom with the lump it cant be that difficult is it? Im confident enough with a spanner and service/ do most of the mechanical repairs myself.
I guess I would be able to rebuild it before i fitted it too.
Hmm I think Ive convinced myself!

its simple enough it is just a bit labour intensive draging an engine around especially in your mams front garden and nobody helping you
my advise is to take your time at it maybe a week just do little bits at a time. I rushed mine mainly cos i use the car often and needed it working... it just makes it less enjoyable if you rush
once its fitted and working it should take a week or so to iron out the bugs... u will forget things...
its really worth while though

things like when you break your gear linkage when liffting the engine and gearbox by the steering rack.... and then do it again when changing your clutch
also dont try and put your engine in the top it just wont happen!
