Got rocky X6
700 W x 1 @ 4 Ohms RMS
1100 W x 1 @ 2 Ohms RMS
Total power 1100 Watts
Want RE subs, coz "they are the best" apparently..
Got go custom, coz they dont do 1 or 2 10" subs to run at 2ohm load on my amp.
What would be louder do we think? 2 subs runnin at 600rms, or 1 subs kickin out 1000RMS?
I dontk now

So 2 subs will be louder, buy you ADISRi recomend 1x12"? why's that?
just looked on CAD, they only seem to do that Dual 2ohm, which wouldnt put a 2ohm load on my amp, only 4 or 1ohm

if you buy 2x dual 2 ohm subs, you can wire the coils in parallel on each sub so they are 1 ohm per sub, then wire them in series to the amp to give you a 2 ohm load
2 subs will move more air, will be louder than a power difference.

yeah i know that but to get 2ohm DVC subs at 600rms, ill have to get them custom, cause they dont do them that high.
I recieved an email saying they have two 10" 1000rms 2ohm DVC subs (£240 each), but i heard you cant run subs with a lot higher ratings than the amp, other wise 'stuff will break'.

i just like XXX subs, sometimes a singkle 12 can sound far better than 2 cheaper subs.

hmmm...
RE emailed and offered:
well i have some 10" subs that are 1000wrms - Dual 2ohms. We have Dual 2ohm SX10" subs, £240 each.
and after a reply he said:
If there rated @ 1000wrms doesn't mean they need 1000wrms to perform. They will be fine with less than half that power.
AdiSRi- what's a quad 4ohm sub, never heard of it. has it got 4 voice coils...?
could only find XXX subs Dual 2ohm on CAD
...help...
[edit -add 'quad' message]

Quad 4 ohm just means it has four 4 ohm voice coils, allowing a 1 ohm load

only CAD sell RE in UK, just ring them up and chat to them knowledgeable fellas mostly, or ask on talk audio, where the CAD team will reply.
