My sis was going through her car details with me because im going to tax & insure it for her - anyway I looked at her current ins doccument - its about to run out and says 8 years NCB........I though hang on shes only had insurance in her name 5 years!!!! She thought that the box asking number of years NCB ment how many years since you have been of age to drive!!! Well shes just got renewal through showing 9 years NCB - looks like shes got away with it & scored 3 years NCB for free Jammy bitch!!!
£126 FC for 12 months on her Clio - im going to cry

if she has a crash and its her fault, if the payout is massive IE she knocks someone over, they will go through all the details and double check to get out of the claim.
Not something I would be proud of!

How far back are records kept for insurance though??
I think it was done through dumbness / blondeness rather than intentionally!

no idea, all I know is they will do anything to get out of paying. Its upto you to put the correct details on the form not thenm I am affraid so you would be responsible for the fraud.

you can put down as much as you like, max you can get is 5 years, even though you haven't had an accident for 10..My ins company asked for proof..
so after you have 5 years doesn't go down anymore even if you had 20..

the insurance certificate is not proof its information your insurance company has given you on the facts you have given them.
Proof would be from her old insurance company stating she had X amount of years no claims to match what is now on the current insrance form.

yes her policy has been wrong for almost exactly a whole year - it runs out in 2 weeks!! Her renewal which just came in says she has 9 years NCB!
