How are they done? Thinkin about changing the colour of my rims over the summer as a little project and wondered how they get the dark chrome typ effect.

This is like what i mean, only i want darker

i hit a curb with one of my wheels (high power silver) rang Dare to see if there was a paint code and they said it was a process of painting. this being painting silver over a black base coat and its the balck that makes it the colour it is...now whether its true i dont know but i cant see how it works.

mine are hi power silver finish voyto had them done before i bought them

Hmmm, silver lacquer over black basecoat sounds familiar .

May have to have a word with the local paint suppliers next time im in .
