195 is the tyre width in mm. 50 is the height of the sidewall, 15 is the wheel diameter. the offset should be written on the inside of the wheel somewhere. might say ETxx where xx is the number. if its around 45-49 then thats good. if not, then the wheel might stick out too much and rub, depending on tyre.

Offsets on the back of the wheels mate, youll have to crawl under with a torch or take them off to have a lot, its actually engraved in the wheel, it will say ET 45 or something similar, the 50 is the profile of the tyres i think.
What wheels are they?

with et 38 lowering 40mm you might just be alright, depends how often you have 5 people in the car. you might need to take the bolts out of the rear arches and bond them back on with some tigerseal because the back wheels sometimes catch on the bolts

they wont rub too bad with 15inch rims and a 40mm drop, unless you've got a full car
