hey all, i have my amp working and everything is fine.
Although when the engine is running it has a high pitched note that it constantly has with no relevance to the volume control, it only does this with the engine running.
Im guessing its the alternator interfering with it?
am i right? is there anything i can do? apart from turn it up to drown it out

Hi, Yes the speaker cables run down the opposite side, the remote and earth and power are down the passenger side.

Why have you got the earth running down any side? Take an earth from the boot or wherever your amp is.

the amp is under the seat and earths on the sill side of the seat runner so thats why its near the power cable which also comes down the door step
anyway having them on the same side or even the speaker wire wouldnt effect it how its effecting me, its only getting this high pitched noise when the engine is running, so i can only see it being the alternator
so what can i do? use a supressor?
