picked up my valver lump at the weekend a few things:

Its from an astra GTE stamped on the block as 20xe, no lambda

The wiring loom looks like it'll try enter the car in two places, one at either side of the bulkhead, can i use a different loom ?

other than that it all looks in reasonable order, i'll post piccytures later

Can anyone shed any light on the few points above.. cheers guys

The main loom goes in to the car on the back left side (as you look at the bay) of engine bay, this is where the ecu etc.. connects.
Then you have a Big block connecter.
This is the bit that needs to hook up to the car loom to make them work together.
You can simpley extend this plug though the bulk head with the ecu then splice in to the cars plug to make it all work.

Or use a MK3 astra loom, then it's all plug and play.

where do i stand with MOT's and no Cat if the engine dosn't have privision for a lambda sensor ? i'm thick

Been a few threads on it before

Basically you prove it from a MK2 GTE, and they have to test it to the year of the engine, no CAT needed
