Looking for some good, stable, reliable software to do a bit of design work... I'm looking for software that can do amazing reflections & 3D work while been simple and easy to get to grips with.

I use Flash for 3D stuff and Fireworks for rendering, however, I saw the logos that a few of you came up with for Jodi's website and Vibrio... what software did you use for them please?

Cheers.

3dmax is probably about the best program you can use for 3d modelling and cool effects. Bleeding hard to get to grips with though. Depends if you want to teach yourself.

Max will get you spangly renders, but for logos you're best off using Illustrator or Photoshop (if you're gonna be makin bigger versions.

If you're intent on using 3D software, get a copy of Rhino3D, build your logo with that, and render in 3D Studio Max. There's some good plug ins for Max too, will get some cool results.
