cool... i think, so it has oil level sensor and oil pressure sensors, weren't messing about were they would this indicate on the dash the same as low pressure ?

nah they just knew the sump gasket was goiing to leak like a pig.... even when new!

The pressure sendor is on the abck of th eoil pump where there's pressure, a pressure sensor in the sump is pretty lame considering the oil in the sump is just a well waiting to be draw in to the pump to be pressureised.

yeah i found the pressure sender and polished it to mirror finish (sad git), just wanted to know the point of the other thing in the sump

who needs to know if theres oil presure anyways mine dont work
this may be due to the wire from the oil presure switch no being present

you mean the 4psi pressure switch? Yep useless, a better idea is to have a 25psi pressure switch in there, will take longer to go out when you start up, but if it ever comes on you have a better chance of not destroying the engine.

My current and past engine regulary go below 25psi when up to temp at idle.
1.5 bar hot idle oil pressure is normal.

still i suppose the 4Psi one is better than nuthin... i have this to go in over the weekend...... minus the starter motor..... it off my 1.2 8v and its exactly the same..

which is why its sat there for the past five months also no helped by the fact that i HATE being under cars! so i'll be stretching like a cnut to reach were it needs to go
