http://www.make-your-own.co.uk

^ I found that site to be the easiest to use for looking at the plates

Always buy straight from the DVLA though. Theres hidden charges on the other sites

Only buy from the DVLA website, the other sites may advertise the plates for a little bit cheaper but they don't include the £80 assignment fee, for example

S20SPT is selling for £250 on the DVLA website but on reg transfers website it comes out to just under £400!

DVLA websites by far the best, they hold the majority of Reg's while other sites will buy from them and charge you even more!

I paid £400 for C8LNJ from dvla other places wanted £500+

Remember to inform your Insurance company of the plate change - some (shit) companys will charge an admin fee for new documents!!

Also you'll need to take all your details down with you to get the plates made up you have to prove its your car etc nowdays!!

i bought richies number plate 2 months before his birthday, drove upto the DVLA headoffice thing and got it transferred and put on his car that day

... then realise thatif he got pulled, they would run a search on his number plate and it would come up as obsolete ... so gave it to him a month early
