not too bad for first go considering i didnt have a clue what i was doing deffo brighter than my previous attempts and not blurry, commets advice etc welcome, that light in the background is doing my head in tho

yeah, i didnt bother doing anything with it tho litterally just saved have had a mess about and think i got it just about right, is there anything i can do to stop the flare on the lights in the background so much?

Had a go about an hour ago at night. No manual shutter, no tripod. Quite a lot of light though and turned out not too bad.

vibs how you blurred the background that much? made that light in the background miles better, just downloaded this thing "Lynda.com Enhancing Digital Photography with Adobe Photoshop" 3 cd's worth should keep me busy for a while, anyone else recomend any ebooks etc?

You don't need a blurred background, especially if you can avoid parking in front of transit vans.

Next time you're out set an incandescent white balance and you should get a less orange look to the pic.

blur tool. but like Ian said if your back ground is clutter free you don;t need the bokeh (background blur)
