would youo also recomend a rechargable camera (whats battery life like on them) or one you stick batteries in?

dont do it, i did last year and the camera broke after 2 months. Your ll get it here almost the same price on the net, the US warranty doesnt cover Europe so your buggered if it goes wrong, your best off buying one before you go.

if you can stretch to the 230 area, i would look at sony p200, 7 million pixels, or canon ixus 40, or 50. if you are after a small camera.
Canon are the better, the ixus 50 is 5 million pixel, optical zoom, aspherical lense, and has some cool colour effects you can do like, swapping colours.
Also you can take an object say a yellow car, and keep the yellow, and make the rest of the picture black and white. Feature is called my colour and its pretty cool.
Ultimate digi camera would be a ixus 700 but then you are talkin 300.
Look on 7dayshop.com

at the 200 price mark I would advise canon A520 plus a 1gig SD card. these can be bought from http://www.ebuyer.com
there should be a photo section coming soon

In theory head office has said that we should price match our online prices! Had an update the other day saying so!
But you may have to argue that with the manager, it comes down to manager discretion a little.

but if you take the sony p200, in store its 275, online its 239.99, have seen it on that 7dayshop for 230? So if you could get it instore for 239.99 your doing good!
Cos you have to add delivery with online!
