right well the speed on the valver seems to be playin up ??

i'll be cruisin along at what i know as 60 mph according to revs and the speedo is drifting between 45 and 55 mph ??

anyone know if the senders are prone to going wrong ??

or anything else i could try

i now dont have a speedo at all its completely dead !! no clocking miles or speed reading ??

Agreed.. or if its electronic speedo then sensor gone up the spout?

its an elecrtonic speedo,

anyone have anyidea where sensor is at on the gearbox ??

and a rough cost of one of them ??

the sender is on the top of the gearbox towards the back left of the box as you look at the car from the front.

senders are about £30-40.

maybe the fuse went dead?

if u use somthing that works on the lighter-plug that could also be the cause!

those moron's @ vauxhall used 1 fuse for both the lighterplug and the dials + dashlights

well it aint the fuse as rev counter petrol gauge and temp still work along with all the dash lights dunno about the cig lighter though its never used anyway
