Didnt know the Speedo etc bulbs were the same as the MFD ones?.
That means the 501T Bulbs are basically just a 286 bulb in a twist'n'lock holder as I fitted these into my MFD holders.

Can someone confirm?

Just been out to have a play with the bulbs in my 2000 sport.
I soldered in some blue and red bulbs into some 501 holders and they worked fine.
All three bulbs were the same size(green holders).
Blue bulbs didnt light up enough cos its such a dull colour but the red bulbs looked fine.
