Just finished lowering the car and it looks good, took it for a test drive and lost it on the back end, it felt like it locked up on the back under sharp braking, is this normal on a lowered corsa/tigra? Here is some pics.

The bias valve is somewhere near the rear beam, it has a spring attatched to a screw and to the rear beam, you loosen the screw until the spring is not under tension when the back of the car is un-weighted - i.e. boot empty and nothing on the back seats.... Has to be done on ramps too really because you can't do it while the car is jacked up.

I s@#t my self when it happened was giving it some round some nice bends, as i came out of a corner there was a bus at a bus stop and parked cars ether side of thr road slammed the brakes on and the rear was going every where thought it was gonna spin right round, lookly kept it in line, good job cos she wouldn`t have been happy.

the bias valve is on the drivers side on the beam and is operated by a spring
when the car is loaded up it adds tension so more braking power to the back,
thus when lowered the valve thinks the car is loaded when it isnt, hence why the rear's lock up

you adjust it by losening the adjuster bar off when the car is flat level and not jacked up, set of grage ramps are helpfull"

then while the spring is under a tiny bit of tensoin "no slack" tighten it up and your done

if the valve is fooked or shit remove it and fit a set of brake lines and pressure valves from a 1.2 8v "these have independant pressure vlaves 1 on each side

for once im glad i have a 1.2 8v when i had the 1.4 it had the bias valve and it was shite
