thinking out loud here.......
with a F20cr gearbox (std gears) and a 8500rpm limit...
what do you think the top (possible in theory, not taking other factors into account) speed would be?

eh?
a f20cr will do 137 at the std rev limit.... 6800 to 7000 i think...
more like 160 i'd think
of course the slab fronted corsa will have too much wind resistance etc to get there

Maybe you need a Jap-front bumper

use that adam - tis what I use, you need all ratios & final drive ratio too, but is quite clever

that will be a diff f20 to mine then....
limiter in each gear gives you?
poss F20wr, mine is CR.... with top std rev limit figure of 137 (based aprox on 15" wheels i'd think)

what sort of power is it putting out? im sure i read that "the faster you go the more power you need to accelerate" hence y massively geared micras arent blowing away cossies at the top end eh!

ali - have you read this
yup.... which i doubt... and i wouldnt like to hold it at that limit for long
i dont expect to reach these speeds...
but yes..... ofcourse you'll need to have more power to overcome greater wind resistance

adam - limiter in 2nd is 65ish, then about 87 in 3rd, not sure about 4th. 1st pulls 40 ish.
i could get off the clock with the std 130mph clocks in, but not a great deal. probably enough for it to read 140 if it had it on the dash. limits out 7000rpm if not slightly less

yeah digi dashes always read wrong. i could get the old nova valver to hit 152 on the digi dash on limiter in 5th. ha, yeah right. nearly 20 mph out.
keeping std clocks in my next corsa. digi dash is cool to look at but not very good under hard acceleration. ive had it skip from 73 to 83, lol
