but theres 3 switches that the coutersy light is working of. the switch on the light controls, and each of the doors.
i supose you could wire a relay so that whenever the light is on it turns on another curcuit to turn on both door sills.
however i think id prefer to look at the door switches themselves so that when one door is open only that sill lights up, not both.
you would also not need them to light up when the doors are closed
just an idea. i dont really no electrics so dont no how to sort out relays to do the above. i can just read diagrams in haynes

yea. its just so much stuff works of that you cant just snip it and go. i presume you might be able to share it tho.
I dont no tho, the diagram gets complicated with the alarms, door open warning buzzer, lights etc all working off it

Why do you want a live wire?
Your doors operate off ground triggers.
You need to connect the ground of your sills to this wire, its grey and goes to the door pinswitch on either side. Then the live needs to go to any permanent live.

err i think we all know what a permanent live is
Look easiet thing to do is take your live wire to the fusebox, take a fuse out and pop the wire in one side first, then the other, keep doing this until you find a live one while the ignition is off.
Then once you have found it, push the wire into the OPPOSITE side, then push the blade fuse back in which will also hold the wire tightly in place.
This will then give you your permanent live, and it will also be a fused live.
