was going down the a19 this morning at maybe 90ish, yes i know i was speeding, dont need the lecture but anyway, a HGV pulled out on me, without warning OR indication and i slammed the anchors on... skidded and caused a fcukin lot of smoke...

anyway.....

i sorta clipped the kerb a bit with back wheel when brakes locked up theres nowt on the rim at all, and it all looks straight.... but now my steering is vibrating like fcuk when i get to about 45mph

is it tracking or have i damaged something?

ps cant get car tracked cos its too low and apparently ive got negative camber on one side

Vibration could be caused by a Flatspot aswell I got this in the corsa a new set of tyres later and it was cured! If you never hit the Front end off the kerb you cant have done any damage to it, Try puttin the Back tyres on the front and the fronts on the back and take it a drive if that cures your problem you need new tyres

no Swap your back left with your front left and you back right with your front right...

To be honest if you never hit the Front end its just a flatspot

just cos the wheel looks fine dont mean its not buckled...

1 of my GSi rims looks perfect, but its buckled & needs sorting...

luckily i had 5 alloys so swapped with my spare, so now i have no spare

If you hit the back the steering should be fine. You should get that camber sorted though.

I've got a buckled wheel. Steering only wobbles between 65-75 but you can hear the difference in road noise when the 'flat' section of rim is on the road..

p.s. You should'nt have been speeding.

Almost certainly a buckled wheel but if your car is too low to have the tracking done I think you need to consider rasing it up a bit

id rather drive a low go kart than a jeep stylee dub

it was fine before i twatted it off the kerb

ive been to the garage, not got a flat spot, wheels a tiny bit buckled, but theyre £120 a rim minus tyres for one of my wheels in 15"s , theyve rebalanced wheel and seems a bit better

it could be something as simple as wheel balancing that needs to be done again.

Shouldnt be driving at 70mph through town they are usually a 30mph limit

Thought you said you twatted the REAR off the kerb and not the front
