take it to a garage and they hook it up to a computer which tells you there and then what's up...they do it for free in Orkney too!

same happened to my mates nova, took it to vauxhall, they hooked comp up, and it was a manifold gasket - forgot wat he sed ... inlet or exhaust, but it solved problem, and his car now runs perfectly like a new car, rather than idling like a pig lol.

the computer is'nt saying your fault is within the coil specifically its just saying it does'nt work properly, have you checked:
1.wiring etc... going into coil
2.you have put the HT leads on the right points at the coil.
other than that i could only say either EGR or DIS could be your problem.

hi ya mate i think it might be ya EGR value basically you must have a pipecross or a induction kit on it.
what happening its sucking hot air in t the engne and burning that unit out.
find one from the scrap yard
you should be laggs of power aswell and messes u up when just started cheers anthony
