49 combinations for the first number
48 for the second
47 for the third
46 for the fourth
45 for the fifth
44 for the sixth

49*48*47*46*45*44 = 10,068,347,520

Ouch

thats if its in a certain order, random (which is what you do it) the correct figure is 13,983,816

thing is though, its very unlikey you would get the money back, although if you did it every week (ie: waste 14million quid) then you would eventually make the cash back.

but yea, if you had 14million, i doubt you would be playing the lottery

tbh its too late for me to give a shit, i just remembered chatting to the old man about it a while ago, and he worked out an algebra equation....but yea, if you wack the bit with the 1*2*3 etc in means that each number is chosen as random <- something like that,

eitherway, it isnt worth buying 14 million tickets

Hmm pointless these days - but I remember the days of 14 mil jackpots every week and 28 mil rollovers...

14 mil tickets -> for 28 mil rollover = Profit

Bugger I aint got 14 mil lying about.

If you think about it though, if you put on £14 million quids worth of tickets, not only would you guarantee wining the jackpot, but also you'd have 48 tickets with 5 numbers on, plus one with a bonus ball, then even more with 4 numbers, and shitloads with 3 numbers .

true, but atleast you would know that you've won - but remember, you might not be the only winner, so its more likely that you won't make the 14mil quid back.

Errm, unless you're American (and hence have a bizarre numbering system):

1 million = 1,000,000
1 billion = 1,000,000,000,000

10,000,000,000 = Ten Thousand Million
