As you may know I was caught doing 101.4 mph on a empty motorway, in good conditions, with no traffic and high visibilty, by an unmarked evo 8.

I pleaded guilty by post along with a mitagation letter and was kinda expecting a 28 day ban. Which would of f*cked me on insurance.

I got 6 Points, £100 fine and £35 court fees.

The best I could of possibly got in that situation I think, so I'm relieved.

How long do the points stay on your license / insurance and when do I need to tell them? Now or when I renew?

Excellent news mate, know what you were going through when I had my ban etc.

Points 4 years I believe.

But lets be honest mate, 6 points nowdays are nothing.

I said 6 points and a £150 fine - i was close.

I got another NIP yesterday.. Well it was the same one sent back to me again actually. Apparantly they're not happy that i didn't fill it in the first time.

The points will count for three years, but can't be removed til 4 years are up.
Drink drivers have it on the licence for 11 years!

Right so after 3 years - say I got another 6 points (but wasn't after 4 years) would it just be 6 on my license or totting up ban?

Just out of interest.

Oh well roll on the 80 mph limits on motorways and I won't need to speed - I'll happily sit at like 80 mph.

We usually have black omega's - but all the money they've got from speed camera's they must be loaded. Lately I've seen obviously the baby blue unmarked Evo 8. A expensive looking land rover (new style) with blue flashing lights in grill - and a Porsche (the 4x4 new one) with 2 coppers sitting inside.

Expect the unexpected
