Me and the lads are watching the fight tommorow on a huge screen but i was going to show some crackin vids off my laptop before it..
It shows everything until i try and play a video file The media player comes up but the screen inside is black..
Any ideas????

Control Panel, Display, Settings tab, make sure the Display pull down lists the right video card, Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab and there should be a slider bar.

its to do with video overlay i think...i've had this at work. On some Laptops..you cant have the display on the screen of the computer and on the projector at the same time. There is a function key to press (something like f5 i think) that will stop the image being displayed on the screen and just send it to the projector. Then press the same keys again to get it back
Fn + F5 for example

Yeah, it's Fn + F5 on my Sony and you have to have it showing on only the TV-out for it to work properly.
