-what are peoples views on piperX and k&n induction kits? is one really better than the other? performance? sound?
-is the viper all it's cracked up to be? is it worth the money? is there any point in putting one on a 1.2 16v?
-has anyone got the k&n apollo? or know what they're like?

Filtration medium is where it's at.
Ignore the brands, look at what the filters are made of!

Nasty cotton gauze or lovely foam. Your choice.

Apollo - made of plastic. Nice.
Universal filter - bodge it to fit.

Viper - made of spun aluminium and aerospace quality pre-preg carbon fibre. Yummy.
Tailored fitting kit - you get all the parts to fit, easy installation.

In terms of power gains, there probably wouldn't be much between them. Until the K&N clogged up...

Viper on the 16XE engines sounds really nice but it's still a lot louder than the factory airbox.
