-what are peoples views on piperX and k&n induction kits? is one really better than the other? performance? sound?
-is the viper all it's cracked up to be? is it worth the money? is there any point in putting one on a 1.2 16v?
-has anyone got the k&n apollo? or know what they're like?
cheers,
mark

Filtration medium is where it's at.
Ignore the brands, look at what the filters are made of!
Nasty cotton gauze or lovely foam. Your choice.

Apollo - made of plastic. Nice.
Universal filter - bodge it to fit.
Viper - made of spun aluminium and aerospace quality pre-preg carbon fibre. Yummy.
Tailored fitting kit - you get all the parts to fit, easy installation.
In terms of power gains, there probably wouldn't be much between them. Until the K&N clogged up...

Viper on the 16XE engines sounds really nice but it's still a lot louder than the factory airbox.

Your car was self-destructing, The filter was the only thing working on it
