I have a crack in the sump of my corsa , about half a centimetre long . I think this may have been done while the car was in for it's MOT.
The car isnt pissing oil out , but is leaking slightly. I can't be without the car for the next week so are there any temporary jobs I can do , such as some sort of sealent that will seal the crack for the time being ?
Cheers

Liquid Metal I think it's called. Its a paste that seals rock hard. Will do the job.

Get it ally welded up, will take the person minutes to do, though you'd need to remove the sump.................
If it isn't leaking loads and loads then just carry lots of spare oil around with you

I used it when I had a tiny crack on my sump. Worked a treat.

Might give that go. Did you need to drain the tank etc before doing it ?

I did. Make sure you clean the area around the crack properly otherwise it will not stick. Then just read the instructions and you'll see. It has held up for over a year on mine Not a single leak since. Mind you the crack was only tiny, but it was still causing a small loss of oil.

About 5-10mm max, but it was pretty much a hairline crack. Couldn't even see it until the oil started dripping from it.
