Right i want to get a new alarm on my car because the one on it is a bit faulty.
On my old corsa i had a concept 300 and had no problems with it apart from one of the sensors was a bit sensitive. Rang up a local alarm specialist today and they said the equivalent now is a 650.
I was going to do one of these pay monthly things out of Max Pooer but rather go with these guys who fitted my clifford in my Corsa.
So its £379 for the alarm and fitting and they will also remove the old alarm. So as my topic says.....
Good offer? Bad offer?

is that £430 including fitting and is that glass break an addition sensor? i take that it is.
I think the addtional thing on my one is the proximity chirp thing. But i know alot of people think they are stupid. Think the guy said the one he quoted me for was a concept 650T

430 includes fitting and the glass break sensor as an addition sensor, he is also going to remove mine current alarm and wire the boot solenoid (SP) to the new alarm

thats about same price as i got quoted then. Cos if i wanted an extra sensor like the Tilt/Motion sensor i had on my corsa it would be an extra £50 which is 429
I tried out the Tilt/Motion sensor by trying to jack up my car like some pikey would do if he was after your wheels. Before the wheel lifts off the ground it goes off

nothing wrong with cliffords, you just have to understand how they work
sensors are all adjustable so i dont see how they can be too sensitive - why not just adjust them?
and also make sure its installed properly as some people cut corners
4 years of having the same clifford and upgrading it with allsorts of gubbins and its never let me down once

I do agree that cliffords are more complicated than the straight forward toads but it all depends on how well it is installed like m2rv said.
I did realise that the sensors could be altered but i didn't get round to doing it.
I got the quote from a Mobile Alarm specialist that operate in the Bristol/Bath area. They have fitted one for me beofre and done lots for my mates. All top jobs.
Think i'll call up today and book up to get it done. Although i'm short on cash, but it will be better to get it done sooner than later.
Think i'll go for the dual zone with the around the car proximity

i had my x50 on the car for 5 years without any problems until it went into the damn bodyshop they somehow fcuked the siren and now the ecu doesnt appear to work properly only the immobiliser and locking system works
For this reason i would choose clifford again hense getting the 650
