cheers Fad, how would you rate the Toad Ai606 if you've had it installed yet. I was thinking about getting a clifford 650 as it will work with my remote start I have at the moment but am having second thoughts now

Toad ai606
On car when i bought it.
Car has not been stolen yet (i wish it had been ) and operation is simple enough. Only problem i had with it is that the car key has a central locking button on the key which i keep accidentally pressing which interferes with the alarm and makes it go off a couple of minutes after it's been activated and i'm sitting in the house relaxing..
Not really a fault with the alarm itself, but more of a conflict in the wiring of things. Whether it can be avoided or not i don't know nor care.

Its the newer version of the concept 300. I Personally wouldnt get one as my brother has one. I find it to be very basic and lacks some of the nifty features the Ai606 has. You cant control the anti hijack (and doors locks)with the remote and also i find the auto arm on the Clifford to be very annoying so you have to put it in valet mode every time you leave someone in the car.
Toad all the way...the remote start feature is not that good anyway and would invalidate the CAT 1 status of your alarm

lol, I really want to keep my remote start, and know it'll defiantely work with the clifford systems as it's made by directed electronics. Just booked it in. At least I know it'll be done properly and I won't have to worry about it anymore + lifetime guarantee is a bonus.

Toad AI606 - had it years and never given me any grief.
Kind of on subject but also off it - does anyone know of a good mobile fitter of Toad alarms? When I bought the one I have now I contacted Toad direct and they sent someone from Sextons to fit it and they done a tip-top job, but looking on the Toad site they don't seem to offer that service anymore as you have to take it to one of their approved outlets and to be honest i wouldn't trust the place in Ipswich to install a Cat.1 alarm/immob on my car! And on the Sextons site they now say that they don't do mobile installations.
GAP security do Cliffords and not Toad so can anyone else suggest a well reputed company that does mobile fitting of Toad alarms?
