It's fun but people seem to expect supercar performance. Does show up a few things though -- in my opinion the 2L is a nice amount of power for the car.

Only issue I have with mine now is the fact it's such an old engine, so getting spares is a slight pain (and very expensive if you do go to Vauxhall). Also I could insure a Supra TT for less

Hence why I will probably sell up and move on...

Why dont you tidy it up then? Relocate the battery, loom, remove secondary air pump etc etc?

mine cost me £500 for the corsa, £350 for the astra gte and about £250 maybe a bit more in parts, big thanks to M15T XE and MYKE off here for getting the lump in.

so total cost around £1200

i personally have never driven a 2.0 16v corsa, but a few mates have had them.
i went the 1.6 16v rouote, on TBs etc, and performance is almost the same. and my engine bay isnt cluttered up really

its all down to personal preference at the end of the day. I personally prefer the look on other peoples faces, the look of disbelief when they learn its a 1.6

Filby yes, but not by much at all. the rust isnt as bad as Ford from that era, just need to look after them.
