I think they're scared that no-one will answer questions in there because they're too lazy to look.

i will be honest and vote no because i think there will be a few people on this forum that will hand out information that isnt necessary correct just to look knowledgable. Sounds stupid but it happens

From what ive gathered, there are quite a few computer experts among us. Surely it would be far easier to have all computer related topics in its own forum (PS: i dont want to be mod - i was jus messing, but i like the idea of geek day)
Either way, its CS's call

Thing is - when people write a question. they want it answered and quickly.
Generally the best way to get it read / noticed by a lot of people is post it in a popular forum - i.e. Offday.
Having a sub forum called 'Computer Stuff' - people would rarely check it and probably only use it if they were also posting a problem! hence it'd be utterly pointless and people would still post their computer problems in Offday / GC as no one would be reading or helping them in the sub forum
It'll just start to annoy me if I have a urgent PC problem, no one is reading my thread in Geek Day or whatever... so I post in Offday or GC and it gets moved to geek day where my other thread is and neither get seen or answered!
Offday should be anything! ok if someone posts in GC maybe move it to Geek day, but offday should be anything you like.
Though I do think once the problem has a answer the person should clear up their mess and delete their thread.

no but its turning into a general chat site for people who not only do not drive corsas but spend all day slaging them off and posting general utter shite in corsa related threads.
here is a job for you ian
take the top 50 people who had trashed threads/posts
go down the list and see who on here has a corsa or is interested in them or anything vauxhall related that isnt jap or a scooby
then see how many each has posted in the help forums
my point exactly

But the point is - providing all this stuff that isn't relavent to corsa's are staying in Offday and not spilling into parts like General chat etc - what's the problem?
The problem is because offday is now one of the most active parts of the site, most people browse it a lot - but then get upset when there's shit being posted.
but hang on what is Offday - it's a place for shit to be posted.
Gen chat is meant for corsa related chat, and all the other forum names are as appropriate.
The people who are having their thread's trashed probably got them trashed in offday - so once again I really fail to see your logic.
What's more, ok I don't have a corsa anymore - or even 'care' that much about corsa's anymore as most are big bodykitted pieces of shit (in my opinion) - with the few subtle looking ones still making the corsa proud. Though there are some still good kitted corsa's too.
But I still pay my £12.50 as corsasport has grown into more than just a site about corsa's, its now a community based on people who have or once had corsa's. Offday is helping keep the community alive and these people paying £12.50 are helping keep the site alive (even though they have no corsa!)
Either way, the point is - I still think Offday should be anything goes! Whether it's computer, junk, jap cars or whatever.
